Bio
La Popi is Sofia Speratti, Circus artist from Argentina with a background of Rhythmic Gymnastics. She started training at the age of 3 and became part of the Argentina National Team at the age of 10. There she took part in several international competitions and represented her country.
When she finished her sports career, she devoted to the circus arts. Her first experience was in a traditional circus in 2011 as a contortionist. Since then, she has explored and performed in many kinds of circus. As she grew up as an artist, she learned and developed new disciplines, her formation was through experience.
In 2017, she got her first international contract in Switzerland and after this she started to believe in her dream: to work around the world. Actually she didn’t work in her country ever again and has performed in France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Poland, Austria, Denmark, Croatia, Portugal and Israel until today.
Her principal disciplines are Handbalancing with balls, hula hoop and acrodance.
She possesses a strong sense of artistry now displayed in her hand-balancing and hula-hoop acts. An outgoing artist with a strong stage presence bringing creative energy to her art, works well in group and team situations as well as a strong independent performer.
